Corrections Policy

Report an error.

StaxxRewards aims to publish accurate product information, estimates, guides and disclosures. Credit-card terms can change, and we can make mistakes. When we identify a meaningful error, we investigate it, correct it promptly and explain material changes.

How to report an error

Email info@staxxrewards.com with the subject line Correction.

When possible, include:

  • the page URL;

  • the product or statement involved;

  • what appears incorrect;

  • the correct information;

  • an official source;

  • the date you saw the issue; and

  • for a result concern, the stack type, assumptions and displayed breakdown.

Do not send a Social Security number, account password, bank login, full card number, credit report or other sensitive information.

What happens after a report

We:

  • log the report;

  • assess whether it could affect a reader, result, estimate, disclosure or legal obligation;

  • check the statement against current primary sources;

  • contain a potentially harmful product-data or result issue;

  • correct and test the affected material;

  • add a notice when the change is material; and

  • document what was checked and where the correction was applied.

We may ask for non-sensitive information needed to reproduce an issue.

Material corrections

A correction is material when the earlier version could reasonably change a visitor’s understanding or action. Examples include:

  • an incorrect annual fee, earning rate, cap, credit or eligibility condition;

  • an incorrect estimate or category assignment;

  • a result or annual-value figure changed by the correction;

  • a missing or inaccurate commercial disclosure;

  • an incorrect statement about credit impact or approval;

  • privacy, consent, security or accessibility copy that did not match the service; or

  • a conclusion that was not supported by its source.

A material correction receives a dated notice close to the affected content.

Our standard notice is:

Correction — [date]: An earlier version stated [earlier statement]. We changed it to [correct statement] after checking [official source]. This change [did/did not] affect [the result, calculated value or conclusion].

When information changed after the earlier copy was correctly published, we may use:

Update — [date]: We updated [term or section] to reflect [current official source or change]. The earlier information was current as of its prior review date.

Routine edits

Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken-link repair or clearer wording that does not change the meaning may be corrected without a public notice.

Result and product-data corrections

If an error may affect a displayed card or number, StaxxRewards should stop presenting the questionable result when necessary, correct the central data or logic, retest the affected paths and update related web, email and guide copy.

If a product term cannot be verified, the product should be removed from current use until verification is complete.

Retractions and withdrawals

We may withdraw or retract content when:

  • its central conclusion cannot be supported;

  • it relies on fabricated, manipulated or unauthorized material;

  • an error makes the result unreliable and cannot be corrected promptly;

  • publication creates an unresolved legal, privacy or safety risk; or

  • a correction would not adequately repair the work.

A retraction notice should remain at the former URL when practical, explain the reason without creating new harm and direct readers to corrected material when available.

Additional information

If you disagree with a correction decision, reply to the same email thread with additional primary sources or a reproducible example. A different reviewer should examine a material appeal when practical.

Privacy

Correction reports are used to investigate and respond to the concern. We retain only the information needed for the record and do not publish a reporter’s identity without permission or another lawful basis.
